Surplus Real Property FOR SALE

NOTICE OF SALE OF REAL PROPERTY

 

Pursuant to G.S. 115C-518 and 160A-269, the Granville County Board of Education hereby gives notice that it has received an offer to purchase the residential property located at 811 Crescent Drive, Creedmoor, N.C.  The property consists of a lot of approximately 0.6 acres upon which sits a single-family home of approximately 874 square feet. A more detailed property listing can be obtained from Ann Hancock at Century 21 Hancock Properties in Oxford, N.C., (919) 691-0834, http://c21hancockproperties.com. The property is being sold “AS IS” with no representation from the Granville County Schools regarding the acreage or condition of the property.  The current offer to purchase is in the amount of $70,100. 

 

The offer includes the cost of deed preparation, revenue stamps and all closing costs.  Notice is hereby given that prior to November 30, 2019, any person may raise the bid by not less than ten percent (10%) of the first one thousand dollars ($1,000) and five percent (5%) of the remainder.  Therefore, the lowest acceptable upset bid is $72,655.  The individual submitting the upset bid will need to agree to pay for the cost for the preparation of the deed and any closing costs.  When a bid is raised, the bidder shall deposit five percent of the total increased bid in cash or certified funds with the Granville County Schools. 

 

The Granville County Schools shall readvertise the offer at the increased bid.  This procedure shall be repeated until no further qualifying upset bids are received, at which time the Board may accept the offer and sell the property to the highest bidder.  The Board reserves the right to reject any and all offers at any time.  This the 19th day of November, 2019.

The property is being sold “AS IS” with no representation from the Granville County Schools regarding the acreage or condition of the property.  The current offer to purchase is in the amount of $270,000.  The offer includes the cost of deed preparation, revenue stamps and all closing costs.
