GCPS Holds “Evening of Excellence” for Students and Staff, Names 2022 Teacher of the Year
This year, the latest COVID trends allowed us to return to an in-person celebration honoring ALL of our outstanding employees alongside our highest achieving students. GCPS’s signature event, the “Evening of Excellence'', was held on Tuesday, May 10 at the South Granville High School auditorium in front of throngs of cheering parents, family and community members in an upbeat and exciting program.
The two-part event this year recognized more than 190 GCPS students who have earned ‘straight A’s’ since the beginning of the school year, as well as two “Gold Star” student recipients from each school who demonstrated overall excellence in academics, character, extra curricular activities, and service to others.
Combined with these student recognitions, members of the four Superintendent Advisory Councils (Student, Parents, Teachers, Principals), the Superintendent’s Student Leadership Summit participants, and all categories of employees of the year were recognized.
