In Granville County Schools we strive to fnd ways for our students to succeed and prepare them for life after school through data driven decision-making. In addition to the North Carolina Standard Course of Study, we have incorporated several innovative initiatives to address our diverse student population and their learning styles. While we monitor the progress of each initiative, we understand that we may need an outside observer to ensure that we are using all of our available human and material resources effciently. We will use the information gleaned from the audit to restructure and enhance our curriculum so that we can guarantee our students and community that Granville County Schools will continually improve all educational services to prepare our students today for a successful tomorrow.
The Curriculum Audit™ represents a “systems” approach to educational improvement; that is, it considers the system as a whole rather than a collection of separate, discrete parts. The interrelationships of system components and their impact on overall quality of the organization in accomplishing its purposes are examined in order to “close the loop” in curriculum and instructional improvement.
