    Mr. Holtshouser took a trip to Tanzania with his dad to climb all 19,341 feet of Mt. Kilimanjaro , the highest point in Africa, and the tallest free-standing mountain in the world! They spent 6 days backpacking 54 miles with a local trekking company and a few others in the crew from other parts of the country. They also went on a 2-day safari before the trek! It proved to be one of the hardest things he has ever done, but also one of the most rewarding things!

Principal Angela Salisbury also presented at the SREB High Schools that Work Conference on the creation of a school culture of students who Read, Write, Think, and Talk every day in every class.
