  • Captain Planet Foundation - September 30 & January 31

    "Grants from the Captain Planet Foundation are intended to:
    -- Provide hands-on environmental stewardship opportunities for youth;
    -- Serve as a catalyst to getting environment-based education in schools;
    -- Have real environmental outcomes;
    -- Inspire youth and communities to participate in community service through environmental stewardship activities."
  • Subaru Healthy Sprouts - November 15

    "The Subaru Healthy Sprouts Award recognizes and supports youth gardening programs focused on the teaching of environment, nutrition and hunger issues in the U.S. Through winning programs, youth will learn the skills necessary to maintain a healthy lifestyle compatible with environmental stewardship and gain an understanding of how their actions can positively impact the well being of their community.

    To be eligible, your school or organization must plan to garden with at least 15 children between the ages of 3 and 18. This year, awards will be presented to 50 schools or youth programs. Of those, 47 will receive award packages and funding valued at more than $500. Three exceptional garden programs will receive the grand prize, a $1,500 award package and funding."
  • Lowe's Toolbox for Education - February 14

    "There is a preference for funding requests that have a permanent impact such as facility enhancement (both indoor and outdoor) as well as landscaping/clean up type projects. Projects that encourage parent involvement and build stronger community spirit will be favored."
