Congratulations to Vanessa Santana, NGMS 6th grader, on winning the GCS Nutrition Association Art Contest for NGMS! Her artwork will be featured in the Nutrition Association calendar, which will go on sale soon. All proceeds from the calendar will go toward scholarships at our area high schools.
Students in Mrs. Joyner's 8th grade mathematics classes were recently recognized in the North Carolina Council of Teachers of Mathematics' Spring 2013 official journal for finding the correct solution to the "Problems to Ponder" problem for grades 6-8.
